 What is The Stampin’ Elephant? Well, it isn’t one thing….it is an eclectic combination…something that started out as what most people would equate to a scrapbooking store but has become something else! Something much more! You know that saying “create the life you love”? Well, welcome to my life! My dream is now my reality! I now have a place that I can share my love of card making, by offering card making classes in my studio located in historic downtown Hanceville, Alabama! If you can’t join us in person, I will soon offer online and kit classes.

If card making isn’t your thing….don’t worry! We have local makers teaching classes as well.   We have several classes offered each month, such as paint night, fused glass, and calligraphy.   This is in addition to monthly crops and paper crafting.

Why do I love card making? Well, let’s talk about greeting cards for a second…. A greeting card…old fashioned? Well yes, and that’s a good thing! What better way to pop into someone’s life unexpectedly…maybe even, just the moment they need to know someone is thinking about them. It’s a small gesture that means a lot!

In addition to paper craft supplies and classes, we have a gift section in the store as well.   I am always searching for small, thoughtful gifts to add to the store.  Our resident stained glass artists also has a nice selection of her work at the store and will soon be offered online as well.  Oh, and what lady doesn't love jewelry? We have a couple of jewelry vendors in the store as well.

One last thing!   Many people ask me why The Stampin' Elephant....well this name and my sweet elephant (by the way, her name is Ellie) mean a lot to me.  The Elephant is in honor of my Mom, as she had Alzheimer's.   As you may or may not know, elephants never forget, and then she is surrounded by forget me not flowers.  What makes her the The Stampin' Elephant?  Well, apparently she is a card making elephant that uses stamps....I mean...that's normal, right?

One last thing, all profits from anything that involve an elephant in the store, a card class, a gift item that has an elephant, etc, will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association, through the annual fundraiser "The Longest Day", that I am involved in.
